We are thrilled to have been featured in the ES Magazine's recent article. Hannah Bort visited our home and asked us to talk about it:
I played in the house next door to this one as a child. It belonged to my aunt. I've lived here now for seven years with my wife Gertrude; she persuaded me to buy it after we drove past and I was recounting my childhood memories. Five weeks later the house was ours. We did a lot of tweaking and restructuring, ripping out floors, relaying them and knocking down walls, lending an airiness to the space.
I wanted it to feel consistent, minimal and modernist, and left the walls white so that objects would take centre stage. The house is filled with things I've collected throughout my life and everything has its story.
