THE Snappit Camera came in five colours

Dixons, Snappit Camera

The Snappit camera was conceived to use up remaining European stocks of the popular i26 Instamatic film cassettes. The camera body clipped over the cassette revealing one end naked. With its folding 'sports' viewfinder, bright colours and simple operation the Snappit took surprisingly good quality pictures and became a hit with children. Designed in London, manufactured in Hong Kong, 3.5m. were made in its first year at an ex-factory cost of 36p.
